Backed By Science:
4 Steps To Mental Wellness

I created the Pockitudes 4-step gratitude journal practice during my on-going healing from anxiety and a negative inner voice. The practice is grounded in research and science proving the benefits of mindfulness, unplugging, the act of writing things down by hand, recording gratitudes, committing acts of kindness, and reflecting on positive intentions to support positive mental health.” – Frederic, founder

Name It — The six “I’m Grateful For” categories encourage us to look beyond the usual and consider a variety of opportunities that inspire gratitude. Select all that apply and write down the gratitude just below to encourage mindfulness.

Define It — The “Why I’m Grateful” prompt invites self-reflection, changing gratitude from a way of doing to a way of being. The rhythmic motion of handwriting can have a calming effect, promoting mindfulness and reducing stress levels. It can serve as a form of meditation or relaxation.

From Me To We — Helping others with acts of kindness, without expectations, takes us out of our self-centered mindset and increases our connection to each other.

Mindfulness — Reflections can help us gain insights about ourselves and setting positive intentions create a vision for what we want and help quiet the inner critic.

FREDERIC’S VISION

Help us normalize mental health by reaching thousands of Americans in mental health crisis, especially those in underserved communities and communities of color.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I've been using Pockitudes for years and they've been an integral part of my personal journey of mindfulness and gratitude. I have found the structure and prompts imbedded in the journals to be extremely helpful in overcoming the inertia that sometimes prevents me from taking pen to paper. I travel extensively for work and the size helps reduce how much I carry with me! I also like the sense of accomplishment I feel each time I finish one and get to choose a new pattern as a reward! — Craig, verified buyer
