For children ages 4+ Meet the Marks is a colorful and whimsical adventure about a family of punctuation marks whose children begin to question their purpose and the boundaries of their surroundings.
Each of our characters speak in conjunction with their function. Though it is clear to adults that the characters are punctuation marks, to young children they are whimsical characters (shhhh ;-).
Meet the Marks is an engaging read for children, with the added benefit for parents and educators empowers parents and educators to playfully introduce punctuation marks and gratitude to children.
A 2019 study published in the Journal of Happiness Studies found that gratitude is linked to happiness in children by age 5. This means that instilling gratitude in your kids at a young age could help them grow up to be happier people.
Ultimately, Meet the Marks is a playful adventure story that reminds us how much we need to be grateful for each other in the stories of our lives.

CHILDREN & PARENTS ALIKE LOVE THE MARKS!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Betsy Hailey — I bought these for a lesson and it became a sought over favorite. Not only did it help my kiddos identify which mark to use and when but it also became a class favorite in our library.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Daniel Seidman — I have been reading "Meet the Marks" to my daughter over the last six months and we have been enjoying it so much. My daughter loves the characters and is now interested in learning more about periods, commas, explanation points and question marks- she's even been using them as she practices her own writing!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Pinka — Super creative! Love Love Love this book! We love the characters as well as fun and educational purpose behind this book. My five years old loves all the characters and for the first time, I was able to introduce to him punctuation from this book. My two years old asks a lot of questions "why?" and he is very fond of Mark Junior.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Marianne Cipriani — Kids deserve this book. My daughter, who is 7 years old and a reader, got this book as a gift. She loved it! After "Meeting the Marks" she started to talk about punctuation in other books. Now she is able to recognize the marks and put the right tone when she is reading for us. My husband and I are so impressed that we are buying some copies for friends.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Jill Rosenberg — Great for 1st, 2nd graders! It was so neat to see my 6yo daughter "get it" as to how each of the characters speaks with respect to their own punctuation mark. Lent to 1st grade classroom teacher and she said the kids "eat it up".
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
kabvuk — Educational & Fun! This is a great book for kids that are learning to read & write. My 5 and 3 year olds loved the story and the brightly colored illustrations. They giggled at the clever story-ending and the plot created the perfect opportunity to discuss punctuation. Very fun book!
